Project title: 10 years of the Schengen Area in Central Europe. Experiences of the local governments in the Visegrad Group (V4) states.

Project description:
This international event will be attended by the representatives of the local governments from the Visegrad Group: Jabłonka Commune (Poland, Trstena City (Slovakia), Nagymanyok City (Hungary) and Horice City (Czech Republic). The event will take place in the borderline area between Poland and Slovakia, i.e. in Jabłonka Commune. All the local governments indicated above have been cooperating with one another for a long time. Jabłonka Commune signed partnership agreements with them. The local governments have also jointly completed a number of projects. In addition, they also carry out their own projects with other partners. The event will involve a conference to present the experiences of the Visegrad Group local governments. These will include the experiences of the partners to the project as well as the representatives of other local governments from the Visegrad Group invited to attend. Other guests shall include academics and practitioners committed to the problems discussed at the conference. The conference will focus on the issues related to the Schengen Area in the context of cooperation and project execution. The local governments whose representatives will attend the conference have big experience with various projects financed from own and external funds. The conference will provide a good opportunity to learn about the experiences of the subsequent local governments. This will allow for using those experiences in the projects executed by other local authorities, organizations and entrepreneurs.
